Mission statement
A good life without cancer and despite cancer
In the future, many cancers will be avoided, cancers will be detected at an earlier stage than before and more and more people will recover and rehabilitate. Those who fall ill with cancer and their loved ones receive the treatment, support and information they need as well as a community around them. Alongside a good life comes also the right to a good and humane death.
This is possible because the CSF is a pioneering community in cancer prevention, research, support and advocacy.
The values
Reliability
Reliability means doing what we promise. It means providing a quality service that meets people’s needs, and conducting scientific research that increases knowledge and hope. It is also a matter of trust, which must be earned in every encounter.
We are a community where we rely on and support one another.
We operate professionally and transparently both within our work community and beyond
Equality and fairness
Everyone has the right to receive support and information.
We do everything we can to better reach people from different backgrounds and situations.
We treat everyone equally.
Humanity
We ensure that people and their needs are at the heart of all decisions relating to cancer.
We foster a sense of community within our workplace and in wider society. Community is created when we come together as human beings.
There is a place for everyone in our activities. We know each other and help each other succeed.
Sustainability
We set sustainability targets for our work and monitor their implementation.
We use our funds as we have promised, base our work on research-based knowledge and work with partners who share our common values.
