Member organisations

The Cancer Society of Finland has 12 regional cancer associations and five national patient organisations. The CSF’s member associations are independent organisations that adhere to commonly agreed values and working principles.

The regional cancer associations cover the whole country. Their activities are shaped by their specific regional character and needs. The regional associations have local branches and clubs that are responsible for work locally.

An important part of the activity of the regional associations and the national patient organisations concerns counselling for cancer patients and their loved ones, arranging peer support, rehabilitation and orientation courses and recreational activities.

Operations managers or managing directors direct the work of the member associations. The organization committee and meetings of managing directors play an important role in developing the member associations and improving their mutual cooperation.
